Who We Are

Clinical Trial Technology Solutions is a consulting and outsourcing management company providing support to pharma companies, contract research organizations 500 dollar loan , clinical trial technology vendors, and other entities involved in clinical research. Founded by a veteran of business development in the clinical trial technology space, the company provides services including technology vendor selection, sales, staffing, SOP and UAT development, and more. By leveraging these services, clients of CTTS are able to accelerate their clinical trial timelines, reduce costs, fill their BD pipelines, and better manage their operations.

Our Founder

After building a long career in clinical trial technology and business development, Todd Rutishauser founded CTTS with one clear mission: to provide best-in-class consulting, staffing, and procurement solutions to innovators in the clinical trial and clinical trial technology space. Todd has spent the last two decades in business development roles at clinical trial technology companies, including, most recently, executive roles at ERT, Medidata and Medrio. During this time, he has closed half a billion dollars in business, built a vast network of top-notch clinical trial professionals and service providers, and become a top expert in equipping companies with the resources and strategies they need for success. Todd is a native of New Jersey and a graduate of Seton Hall University.

Paul Podesla is a highly competitive and spirited leader with an extraordinary record of delivering bottom line impact. For over 20 years Paul has excelled in helping organizations with procuring talent, marketing, and strategic direction. From the start-up to the fortune 500 his solutions have provided unparalleled growth. Paul‘s client first mentality matches perfectly with the CTTS mission. Along with being awarded Entrepreneur of the Year, he currently sits and has sat on various boards. Paul is a native of New Jersey, a graduate of Seton Hall University, and a veteran of the US Army. If you ask him, what he enjoys the most is serving as a board member and volunteer for the NJ Chapter of the Best Day Foundation.

Akshay is an experienced talent acquisition professional with a demonstrated history of working in clinical trial space. He is emerging, proactive and driven by a strong personal value system capable of establishing all around relationships within an organization. In his current position as Director of Marketing at CTTS, he possesses expertise in all forms of Digital Marketing, Sales Support, Techstack Consulting, CRM Management and Recruiting. A marketer by qualification and recruiter by passion! Akshay holds a degree in Bachelor’s in Computer Science and MBA in Marketing and Operations.

Biotech Consultant

Dr. Lapuerta is a biotech consultant with 25 years of industry experience, including more than 10 years as Chief Medical Officer. He has designed and led clinical programs all the way through successful drug approvals, and his work has covered multiple therapeutic areas. He has spoken on expert panels addressing new technologies to reduce clinical trial costs and optimize drug development success. Stephen Boccardo

SVP Sales, CRIO

Stephen Boccardo combines more than 30 years of life science industry experience and dedicated
technology expertise with a record of success on the eClinical and systems side as well as growing
startup organizations through sales and marketing leadership. Stephen is SVP of Sales for CRIO an
industry leading eSource and EDC technology company transforming the way clinical research is done.

Mr. Boccardo joined CRIO from Quartesian where he served as SVP Business Development and
Commercial Strategy. In this role, he was responsible for all global sales and marketing activities to drive
market adoption of the company’s clinical data solutions offering.

Prior to that he was Chief Commercial Officer at Clinical Ink. Stephen Boccardo led all Clinical Ink global
sales and marketing activities to drive market adoption of the company’s industry-leading eSource
products and solutions.

He also served as Senior Vice President, Global Business Development for the BioClinica’s eClinical
Solutions Division. In this role, he achieved triple-digit growth from new customer sales and
spearheaded European growth by establishing and leading regional business development teams. Prior to BioClinica, Stephen held various roles in sales and executive management at Liquent, Inc. and served
as Vice President of Information Services for Bio-Pharm Clinical Services (OmniCare). He began his career
as a clinical programming manager at SmithKline Beecham.

Stephen holds a master’s degree in computer science from Villanova University and a bachelor’s degree
in mathematics from Ursinus College.

Benjamin Jackson

Benjamin Jackson worked 20 years as a statistical programmer for 4 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies before he co-founded in 2003 a contract research organization (CRO) that specialized in data management and analytics. In the role of CEO, he worked with his co-founders to build a company that grew to 550+ employees with 7 offices in 3 countries that served over 200 clients worldwide. He participated in the due diligence for company’s sale to a private equity firm in 2021. He holds a BBA degree in statistics and a MS degree in computer science.
